Chuck is a registered member of the Cowichan Tribes, and he has ancestry that expands from Shts’uminus and Puneluxutth’ to the Fraser valley, Seattle and Hawaii.

Chuck has been mentored by a respected elder in Hul’q’umi’num’ and everything associated with the language (practices, customs). Chuck works in the Cultural Department Cowichan Tribes. Language and culture is his passion.

As a cultural speaker he has spoken for families all along the south of Vancouver Island, lower mainland and into Washington State.

If you don’t find him on a soccer pitch or lacrosse floor, he will be on the river or in the mountains with his wife and sons.
